Preston Peak Wedding Festival

January 24, 2017

We started 2017 on cloud nine after an event we project managed with our client Preston Peak Functions was a hit across the board! Over four hours on a perfect Toowoomba Sunday, the Preston Peak Wedding Festival attracted 650 happy guests.

Preston Peak Functions has always been a premier Toowoomba wedding destination. In the last year it’s added some stunning new features including a bridal cottage and wedding tree pavilion. We thought a festival was a perfect way to not only show off the new features and grounds, but showcase Toowoomba’s wedding photographers, cake makers, hairdressers and more! We attracted 27 local exhibitors and many of them contributed goods to a $13,000 wedding package prize.

Our promotion of the festival started four weeks out. Preston Peak Functions was one of the first businesses in town to take advantage of the new Bishopp Advertising digital billboard. We designed a static advertisement, which appeared in nine second spots 40 times each hour for four weeks – a total of 21,600 spots.

We boosted Preston Peak Function’s social media presence with regular advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Our sponsored posts about the $13,000 prize reached 90,000 people in just one week.

Media was key to our promotional strategy. We delivered a script for twice weekly advertising spots on radio station River 9.49 and created a media release that resulted in stories across The Chronicle and WIN TV.

As professional event planners the Preston Peak Functions team were an invaluable part of the success of the festival. In the lead up, on the day, and after, they made sure the event ran like clockwork for their exhibitors and guests. We look forward to many more successful events with the Preston Peak team!
