Annual SEO Report 2016

As the end of the year fast approaches, the changing landscape of digital marketing and specifically Search Engine Optimisation was notably the major area concerning clients and Rigani in 2016.

8 December 2016

A recent Hubspot study reveals that between February 2012 and March 2014, organic reach for the average Facebook Page dropped from 16% to 6.5%.  Facebook justifies this by claiming “there is simply too much content on the platform” so Facebook only wants to show users the best content – what’s most relevant to them.

So Facebook is no longer free and while Facebook advertising is still very cost effective and targeted, SEO became even more critical this year.

Understanding SEO is however easier said than done especially with Google changing the algorithm between 500-600 times per year and releasing major updates annually, that often contradict past updates.

To help navigate the latest on SEO, Rigani has pulled together an SEO e-book for our clients and network that we will reprise annually.  The key thing to take out is that Google regularly changes the goal posts and what may have worked in the past, may actually work against you now.
