Before launching, Director May Mcgarva reached out to Rigani to assist with the brand creation of her newly established accounting firm and help the team better understand and engage their ideal client.
With a focus on being personal, supportive, and innovative, this modern firm provides business advice, self managed super strategy, tax support, CFO services and more.
Rigani began by exploring May’s aspirations, crafting a compelling brand strategy and brand design; as well as assist the Atticus team in mapping out who their ideal client is, what makes them tick and how they like to be engaged.
Following a strategic workshop Rigani fleshed out a branding and identity report that provided a blueprint for the Atticus personality, customer experience, message framework, design elements and even the brand name.
Rigani then crafted all new branding elements for Atticus including a logo suite, HTML e signatures, business cards and letterheads.
The Brand Name
Following a brand workshop Rigani’s team of creative and strategic thinkers band together to brainstorm potential names to present to a client.
The name has to be a reflection of the brand archetype that has been uncovered and highlight what sets the brand apart from the competition.
For May, we wanted something strong, short and memorable. Atticus references a main character (and much loved hero”) in literary classic To Kill A Mockingbird. Atticus had unwavering intelligence, was strong, bold and highly respected during the gender/class divide where he inspired the community.
“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…until you climb inside his skin and walk around in it.”
“The one thing that doesn’t abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience.”
“Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win.”
“You just hold your head high and keep your fists down. No matter what anybody says to you, don’t let ’em get your goat. Try fighting with your head for a change.”
Atticus’ character took a calculated approach to all things and as such is commonly used as a reference in the teaching of accounting ethics.
In conjunction with our favourite web development partners at Tomoro, Rigani developed a beautiful custom website for Atticus.
The platform is fully responsive and offers visitors a dynamic experience to learn more about the team, their services and what sets them apart from the competition.
Rigani and Atticus continue to work together month-on-month including copywriting, PR and search engine optimisation (SEO) services.
May has also joined us in the kitchen again recently for sister brand: Basecamp Bookkeeping.
